Vital Details and Directions for Basileia 2008 will NOT be sent to you
via the U.S. Postal Service. We are posting these documents here for you to
download from our website.
If you have problems and need a hard copy sent to you, send an email to
basileia@ivcfnynj.org and we'll get
it out to you. Please be sure to include your current mailing address. You can
also call us at 212-248-6621. You may also want to try to get a copy from a
friend in your InterVarsity chapter.

Charter Bus Service
Charter bus service will be available from New York City for Weeks 1-3. The
total cost of the bus will be $80.00. This fee will be added to your registration
deposit when you register. The deadlines for seats on the charter bus are the
same deadlines we have for regular registration. When you go to our online
registration page, there is a place for you to reserve a spot on the bus.
The Charter Bus for Week 1 will leave from 10th Ave (Manhattan), between 32nd
& 33rd St. - at 10:00am on Saturday, May 10th. It will leave Saranac Village at 3:00pm on
Thursday, May 15th. The bus should arrive back at 10th Ave between 9 & 10pm.
The Charter Bus for Week 2 will leave from 10th Ave (Manhattan), between 32nd
& 33rd St. - at 10:00am on Saturday, May 17th. It will leave Saranac Village
at 3:00pm on Thursday, May 22nd. The bus should arrive back at 10th Ave between 9 & 10pm.
The Charter Bus for Week 3 will leave from 10th Ave (Manhattan), between 32nd
& 33rd St. - at 5:00pm on Friday, May 23rd. It will leave Saranac Village at 3:00pm on
Wednesday, May 28th. The bus should arrive back at 10th Ave between 9 & 10pm.
*** Please note for the bus
for Week 3 that if you register for bus ON OR BEFORE 5/12 for we will guarantee
transportation at the $80 price. If you register for the bus AFTER 5/12
for week 3, transportation is not guaranteed at the $80 price but is still
available ***
Please consider bringing a small tip for the bus driver, both on the trip up
and back.

Other Bus and Train Transportation
BUS: Adirondack Trailways leaves Port Authority via Albany (30 min. lay over)
to Saranac Lake: one bus a day leaving NYC at 10:15am ONLY and arriving at
around 5:45pm in Saranac Lake. Pick up is in front of the Hotel
Saranac. Call the Basileia Office (see phone number below) at camp to let us
know that you're at the station and a staff person will pick you up. The station
is 20 minutes away from Saranac Village, so you may have to wait for some time
for transportation. Please be patient.
Return trip
departs once a day from Saranac Lake at 11:06 am. Fare:
one-way $71.00, round trip $142.00. (Please double check the Greyhound website
for the most updated pricing and departure times.)
TRAIN: Take Amtrak from Penn Station, NY to Lake Placid, NY (train to
Westport and switch to shuttle bus to Lake Placid as noted on Amtrak website).
Check the Amtrak website for the most updated schedule and fare information.
Fare one-way is $71.00 and the round-trip fare is $142.00. Call the Basileia Office (see phone number below) at camp to let us
know that you're at the station and a staff person will pick you up. The station
is a 30-45 minutes away from Saranac Village, so you may have to wait for some
time for transportation. Please be patient.
