From Death to Life

Sally was largely coming to InterVarsity at Nassau Community College with the hope that her non-Christian boyfriend would come to know Jesus. And she was willing to take risks for the gospel. So Alanah and her go and do some outreach on campus.

Sally approaches a student and starts a conversation. This student opens up about deep grief and pain in her life - an unexpected recent death of a friend, and the anniversary of a family tragedy. As Sally's heart hurts alongside her, she also shared her grief in losing her brother, and how Jesus has been comforting her in that grief.

Sally, listening to the Holy Spirit, invites this young woman to follow Jesus, that she too would know the comfort of God.

And she says, "yes!" Praise God. In the midst of heartbreak, the gospel is still the power of God unto salvation for all who believe.
