Jesus heals backs after a weird risk

"This is weird, but I feel like we should pray for people who have back pain..." Christina, the campus missionary said in front of a group of Newark students.

During a time of prayer, there was a number of different prayer topics that emerged and Christina got the word, "back." They weren't sure what that meant, so they continued to pray for different topics. But then Christina felt a nudging of the Holy Spirit.

It was risky. Nothing seemed certain. But with a little shake in her hands, Christina asked if anyone needed healing from back pain.

Joey and Alani raised their hands. Then things got real interesting!

Joey testified that he had had back pain all day but right before coming to large group, he felt pain-free; Jesus had healed him. 

Alani was experiencing back pain in that moment, so I invited Joey to lay hands on her and pray. The whole chapter surrounded Alani in faith and extended hands. After large group, I followed up with Alani and she shared that her back felt so much better. Jesus healed her too!

What a joy to see Jesus to bring healing to students through the ministry of other students!
