Planting a new chapter on a video call?

Joanne had a sour taste in her mouth when she left her campus role to serve as a regional operations director. There was animosity on campus and she didn't feel welcome. It was a painful way to leave and she doubted her gifting as a student missionary, largely in part due to her perceived relationship with the school chaplain.

She was shocked when she received his call. He had taken a new job in a different state.

"Joanne, I met someone who's interested in starting an InterVarsity on campus! So I thought of you. We would love to have an InterVarsity here!"

With one sentence, God brought about healing from years of pain! Joanne then connected with the local area director and they're working on planting a chapter in Pennsylvania!

But wait, there's more. While Joanne was sharing this story on a regional video call, a colleague blurted out, "Wait! I think I know a professor there! He was a great club advisor for InterVarsity at my school! Let me connect this area director with him!"

And just like that, the building blocks of a new ministry were put together on a "normal" morning staff call! Praise God for his provision and faithfulness!
