Ready to Meet New Students
Niki has been the campus missionary on RPI’s campus for many years. She’s helped plan countless outreach events at the beginning of the semester. She drove to campus ahead of the student activities fair and a worry crossed her mind “I haven’t had time to give a refresher to the students about how to host the outreach table. Hopefully they remember how to draw students over to us and share about InterVarsity.”
When she arrived, she saw the table set up with candy the InterVarsity banner nice and visible- and a handful of students already engaged in conversation with curious passersby. She quickly realized there wasn’t even room for her in front of the booth because the student leaders were already all connecting with new students. The students had clear vision, they knew how to grab peoples’ attention and share about IV, and she quickly took a spot behind the table to intercede while they talked to folks. Their table was so popular, other nearby groups took notice and tried to use similar tactics to connect with students. By the end of the event, they had surpassed their goal of 50 contact cards and had 150 cards from students interested in hearing more about the ministry! Would you pray with us as Niki and the RPI chapter follow up with those 150 students?
