“Where are you guys?”

Their faces dropped. The air was heavy. As Jaylene, a campus missionary at St. Johns prepared to do outreach on campus, the student leader and her were discouraged. The chapter was small, they were losing leader, and it wasn't clear what the next steps were.

They decided to go through a spreadsheet of students they've met over the year. And they simply reached out to 50 students asking if they wanted to be connected. Then they came across Jerome's name. Jaylene remembered him being curious.

But Jerome didn't respond the first time they followed up in January. But he responded within an hour this time. "When are you guys meeting next? I want to pass by!" So they told him about a Bible study the next day.

"Where are you guys?" He texted as the Bible study was starting. He wanted to come! And he showed up with energy, curiosity and a desire to see mission move forward on campus. Maybe a potential leader.

"Where are you guys?" He texted the next night - there was another event, and he wanted to pass by again! Praise God for turning discouragement into action into connection!

Would you pray for St. Johns as they continue to follow up with students and invite more to come and see Jesus?
