“I’m open to exploring God”

"Make sure you follow up with me." Multiple students told Rhea, a campus missionary, doing outreach at Essex County College. Students were so interested in connecting with InterVarsity, they came to the table multiple times.  

"I want to be involved in a Bible study!"

"I've been looking for Christian Community!"

"Make sure you tell me about events I can join!"

And Rhea was loving every second of it, inviting everyone to come and see Jesus! "Do you want to explore who God is in a safe community with us?" And time after time, students would say "yes!"

Zahir just stood still. He heard the invitation and intensely stared at Rhea. These few seconds felt like a few minutes. What was happening in Zahir?

"Yes, I do. I was on TikTok and saw this video about the complexity of science being a proof for God. And I'm curious. I want to come to your next event!"

Rhea invited him to a gathering later in the week!

Campuses are full of Zahir's - they're scrolling through social media, seeing posts about God, and they're longing for real hope in real community.
